HP 3000 and 1000 Donated by

HP Hewlett-Packard European Laboratories Bristol


This is a collection of machines that were donated by HP's Bristol Research labs. in April 2002. Thanks to Sandy Johnstone and Rothery Harris of HP for this.

 They were used to train engineers on the systems. They are all in very good condition.

 

There are a number of machines including,

HP 1000F with FP Unit and expansion Unit.

HP 3000 Series II with 7970E tape drive. Rack mounted reel to reel tape drive -1600 bpi 9 tracks Phase encoded. HP-IB interface.

HP 3000 Series III with 7970B tape drive.

HP Tape Drive type 7970E.

HP Tape Drive type 7970E.

An ARTEMIS System (badged HP 1000 system), including 7906 disk drive.

The Artemis brand was an HP1000 system sold by a company called Metier and included project management software. It was popular in the construction and aviation industries. Metier modified the RTE operating system. The hardware is all HP. (Rothery Harris, 2005)
