Heathkit EC1 analogue computer

This is an early (possibly 1960) Analogue computer that was a kit supplied by Heathkit, the famous radio and electronics kit company. These machines are quuite rate. This happens to be in perfect condition, but missing all its extra plugs. It came from Canada, this is the story from the chap that sold it to me...

"I like to yard sale or garage sale here locally and when I travel.  FYI. . . this type of sale usually occurs at a residential home or location.  I like to look at yard sales in Richland, Washington, because I've found some really nice things there.  This I believe is mostly due to the people who originally came to Richland.  Richland was built to support the Manhattan Project.  So many were Scientists with a lot of construction workers.  But the older folks seemed to take good care of their possessions.

I was at one of the government specification homes and a woman and members of her family were having a sale.  It was early in the morning, say 0730.   Lots of neat older items from the 1940's through 1960's.  And there was the EC-1, sitting on the concrete surface of the driveway.  It caught my attention because of all the screw caps, knobs and such and because it seemed in really good condition.  I left it to look at other items, but before leaving I went back to it.  I asked the woman if it worked, and she said she plugged it in and the light came on.  So, I asked the next question. . . how much do you want for it?  And the answer would make you sick.  I couldn't pass it up.  But I really didn't know what to do with it, so it sat at my house for about a year before your purchase."

So thats a nice story!
