The system is a 32 processor, 8Gb system. It has extra PCI interface boxes used to take the cards used in the Cortex machine. The system still has the box it came in, which I preserved when it arrived. For full details click here.

This machine I baught in 1997 in my job at the University of York. It cost about 600,000 on a grant. It then went to the department of music until Jan 2007, when it was finaly retired. Note photo is of similar machine (the other one in the collection)
